Murugu & Company is a national organization of Certified Public Accountants registered in Kenya, of good standing and wide experience in our areas of specialization. Our staff are professionally qualified and well versed, each in his/her area of specialization. Before the firm was registered, all the principal partners and associates had been engaged in various consultancies with a wide range of clients, both big and small.
OBJECTIVES
We develop and manage consulting expertise for specified fields to serve clients in the whole country. We proceed from the premise that national affairs are better managed by local expertise supported, where possible, by foreign professionals. This combination of resources and talent is essential in working out both policy formulations and project consulting assignments in enhancing the needs of every organization
We represent international consulting organizations and undertakes assignments as a sub-consultant in addition to their own role as main consultants. A team from our firm is tailor-made for each assignment. Consulting involves practical real life experience. The firm carries our work using multi-disciplinary approach, avoiding inward oriented and desk-oriented approaches. This way our firm aims to contribute to problem solving, policy formulation and work performance to produce lasting and desirable effects.
The capacity to manage assignments for all clients in areas of importance such as accounting, auditing, human resources, financial and management consultancy is the major resource, which the firm has developed. Rather than developing a large and diversified in-house manpower resource base, the firm’s expertise is provided by core professional staff calling on external support as and when it is needed. The training and development of young professionals, under the guidance of senior professional staff, always ensures sustained capacity building and greater future expertise for the growth of the firm and the consulting profession in genera.

Over the years of professional practice, our firm has carried out major assignments. Each professional person in the firm has also in his/her individual capacity executed number of consultancies. Example of important assignments already accomplished includes Co-operative societies, agricultural enterprises, publishing firms, textile industries, food processing firms, educational institutions, commercial firms, parastatal organizations, local authorities (county councils and municipal councils) and many others which includes manufacturing and trading concerns.
